Mailbox troubleshooting · Practical guide
Connect Google Workspace to Zintara and verify both directions
Use the Google mailbox connection flow, confirm the intended account and test sending plus reply ingestion before launch.
Reviewed · Examples are illustrative
Who this helps: Mailbox owners and administrators validating sending and reply access.
Define the decision
Google sign-in to the application and authorization to access a mailbox are distinct purposes. In the reviewed code, the mailbox OAuth flow requests mail access and configures Google SMTP and IMAP endpoints. Availability depends on the deployment’s provider configuration.
Work through the procedure
- Open Email accounts and choose the Google connection option.
- Select the intended Workspace mailbox and review the requested access.
- If organizational policy blocks consent, have the administrator review the application.
- After returning to Zintara, send a controlled test and reply from its recipient.
- Confirm the reply appears before selecting the mailbox for a campaign.
Worked example
The following is a synthetic example for this procedure, not a customer result or performance benchmark.
Account selected: [email protected]
Application account expected: same mailbox identity
Send test: accepted
Reply test: visible in Zintara inbox
Launch gate: both directions verified, not just a successful OAuth redirectRead the result
If the provider option is unavailable, reconnecting repeatedly will not supply missing server-side OAuth configuration. Record the UI message for the deployment operator.
Check before moving on
- Confirm the connected address and workspace.
- Keep a controlled reply in INBOX during the initial test.
Limits and next action
Do not share passwords or authorization tokens in support messages. Administrator policy can restrict mail access even when ordinary Google sign-in works.
