Zintara Slack notifications: connect a channel and select events
Configure a Slack incoming webhook for workspace alerts and verify the destination with a deliberate test.

Define the decision
The reviewed integration uses a Slack incoming webhook, not a general Slack bot. Its supported event choices are reply, bounce, unsubscribe, campaign_paused and import_completed. The channel hint is a label; the Slack webhook determines the actual destination.
Work through the procedure
- Create an incoming webhook through your approved Slack app process for the intended channel.
- In Zintara Integrations, enter the webhook in the protected connection form and select relevant events.
- Confirm the workspace and channel audience before sending a test.
- Verify the test appears in the expected channel, then review one controlled event path.
Worked example
The following is a synthetic example for this procedure, not a customer result or performance benchmark.
Workspace: sales operations
Slack destination: private outreach-alerts channel
Enabled event: reply
Connection test: visible in that channel
Distinct production check: a controlled reply produces the selected notificationRead the result
The webhook URL is a credential and must not appear in screenshots or public examples. Zintara stores it encrypted and returns a masked representation. A successful test validates posting, not every event trigger.
Check before moving on
- Keep the channel audience appropriate for message subjects and recipient details.
- Check the selected events after saving.
Limits and next action
Notifications are best-effort alerts, not a durable event archive. Do not use Slack as the only record of suppression or campaign state.
